Account Manager

Position: Account Manager [Consultant – Solution Sales – Technology Industry]

Description: The successful candidate(s) will commence in an apprentice role (Business Development Associate) working directly with a mentor. This will involve both independent & team selling based upon the complexity of the customer-application. The mentor-apprentice team will share in responsibilities, credit & commissions. During this initial period, the typical work-week will entail approximately 20-25 hours field-time, 10-12 hours in-office selling/scheduling & 10-12 hours of training. Upon establishing full competency, which is projected to be 9-12 months, the Business Development Associate will be awarded their own protected territory & the title of Account Manager. At this point, responsibilities will include scheduling meetings with existing & prospective customers, analyzing business opportunities by identified vertical markets, constructing customer tailored solutions, delivering sales presentations, conducting live demonstrations, closing sales professionally & effectively, coordinating & performing economic analysis, keeping informed of new products, services & industry trends, participating in the development of short & long-range sales & marketing plans & building & developing long-term business presence in protected territory managed.

Training: Ongoing – 100% in 1st month, 25% for remainder of 1st year & 10% thereafter. 1st 2-weeks in- house training composed of online coursework, classroom & hands-on equipment training. Second 2-weeks will be mostly field-training. You’ll schedule trainings at our various corporate facilities 2-3 times a year. (typically 3-4 days each)

Core Strengths: High energy, enthusiastic, excellent time management, organized, problem solving, strong oral & written communications skills required; ability to multitask & prioritize; ability to work with people at all corporate levels; ability to work individually & as a part of a team; must have a high level of accuracy & be detail oriented; professional attitude & appearance; aptitude for learning technical applications(to be taught); most importantly, the ideal candidate will be highly competitive, intuitive, focused, posses an exceptional vision of their personal success & does not accept mediocrity. Work History & Education: Must be consistent; should demonstrate acceleration, advancement or achievement; sales experience is not required. We believe in our consultative approach & prefer not to un- train previously learned habits. Bachelor’s Degree Required
